Wienerberger Cavus Roof Project
Re-roof completed using Wienerberger Cavus machine-made clay pantiles, a GRP waterproof internal box gutter, and all new lead flashings. Detailed redesign of the abutment wall for both a cleaner finish and enhanced strength.

Overview
his project involved a full re-roof using Wienerberger Cavus clay pantiles, Cure It GRP Waterproofing System for the internal box gutter, and carefully engineered new lead flashing and abutment wall. The solution modernized the roof system and improved both aesthetics and structural integrity.
Challenge
Replace old roofing with modern, high-performance Wienerberger Cavus tiles
Solve longstanding waterproofing issues at the abutment using innovative GRP and custom lead details
Redesign abutment wall, eliminating outdated brick-on-edge detail and reinforcing verge brickwork for lasting performance

- Machine-made clay pantiles from Wienerberger UK selected for durability and sleek appearance
- Cure It GRP Waterproofing System installed for box gutters
- All new lead flashing and secret abutment gutter details for watertightness
- Rebuilt abutment wall with new inner blockwork skin, enabling the installation of 18mm ply for strong, secure flashings
- Collaboration with Horizon Scaffolding and Access Ltd for safe, efficient access and road control during works
Result
The property now boasts a robust, visually appealing clay pantile roof
Box gutter and leadwork guarantee excellent waterproofing
Abutment redesign improved both the structural soundness and appearance
Client receives a warranty-ready, futureproofed roof system
