Overview
A full restoration project completed over the bank holiday, involving complex slating works with hand-selected reclaimed Welsh slates of varying types and sizes, custom valleys, and authentic stone ridges to preserve the original design and quality.
Challenge
Source reclaimed duchess, countess, broad ladies, and random tonne Welsh slates for authentic appearance
Build new box gutter valley with the Cure It GRP system for superior waterproofing
Restore chimney stacks and install matching stone ridges for continuity with existing architecture
Our Approach
Used a mix of reclaimed Welsh slates, including rare random tonne hips, laid in patterns to mirror the historic roof
Installed Cure It GRP waterproof box gutter valleys
All new backgrounds and lead flashings fitted to newly rebuilt chimneys
Sourced and expertly bedded Yarborough estate stone ridges for period-accurate finish
