Cure It Balcony Roof – Wolds Pump Station AirBnB
Recently completed Cure It GRP balcony roof for a soon-to-be airbnb conversion, featuring a warm deck structure, central gutter, internal outlet, and a no-slip finish for the new Jacuzzi balcony area.

Overview
A unique balcony roof construction on a pump station destined for conversion to a high-end AirBnB staycation. Designed as both a functional flat roof and an external balcony with integral Jacuzzi area and warm deck insulation build-up.
Challenge
- Create a roof structure that doubles as a balcony and supports a Jacuzzi
- Ensure long-term waterproofing and slip resistance
- Integrate a central gutter and internal outlet for efficient drainage
Our Approach
- Installed Cure It GRP waterproofing system over a warm deck build-up
- Created central gutter with internal outlet (final grid to be installed by main contractor)
- Finished surface with Cure It slate granules for a robust, non-slip finish
- Worked closely with conversion and main contractors for seamless integration
Result
- Balcony roof provides a watertight, insulated, and safe area for AirBnB guests
- Slip-resistant finish adds usability for the intended Jacuzzi/balcony zone
- Modern build-up and drainage solutions ensure project longevity
